  • Gary Nelson

A founding member of Modesto’s own Third Party, Gary is currently working on a musical score for his one man play entitled “The Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service”. Nobody, including Gary, is really sure what the title means, but it does have a nice ring to it!

When asked about his philosophy of life, Gary offers the following advice, “Blessed is the man who, having nothing to say, abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact.”

His other musical endeavors belie the fact that he is also fabulous guitar player. Gary's style compliments Joe's to give the Vibes a unique sound that is theirs alone.

  • Justin Black

    Keys + Vocals

From a very early age, Justin has been aware of the comfort and joy that music can provide. Always exposed to a wide selection of musical styles growing up.

At 10 years old, his grandfather gave him a few tapes that would inspire him forever. Santana's Greatest Hits (1974) + Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits 1974-1978. At 13, he had figured out that he can play by ear and would play during commercials on his family's upright piano.

Justin then learned some music theory and is currently our resident theory nerd! In addition to his love for music, he is an avid baseball fan + loves a good pitchers duel. his family will go see the Braves every year when they come to Sf, as he is a Braves fan.

Inspired by Billy Preston, Delaney & Bonnie, Paula Cole, Sting & Stevie Wonder to name a few, we are glad that he brings his wide musical palette to the band!
